My name is Lynn Redwig. My husband and I moved to Tasmania from Germany in 2005 and feel privileged to live in beautiful Hobart. I am a mum of four precious boys, a registered nurse, and an end of life doula. I support, educate, and care about dying people and their families.
For the past ten years I have been working on the neonatal intensive care unit in the Royal Hobart Hospital. I have completed palliative care training with the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association, and I am a qualified hospice care volunteer. I have completed my training with the Australian Doula College, and I am excited to start working alongside medical professionals to give the best care possible.
What I love about my work is holding the space for dying. Like birthing in a safe environment, we should feel safe and comforted in our end of life phase.
I feel passionate about giving people the choice to have the death they really want. The topic of death doesn't always make an easy conversation, but I can help you to talk about your options whether it be regarding your end of life plan, arranging a funeral, or supporting and advocating for the wishes of the dying and their family.
It's such a personal and individual journey and I would be honoured to walk alongside my clients with a gentle, holistic, and dignified approach.
